The Full Moon has a considerable influence on life and Earth processes. Not just the growth of plants but the ebb and flow of the earth’s oceans as the Moon pulls on all the water on the planet… including the water in our bodies.

The influences on us that we may or may not be conscious of, associated with the phases of the moon is an ancient idea and is reflected in the origins of the word “lunacy” (luna = moon).  The word “lunatic” has it’s roots in the Latin word ‘lunacus’, derived from ‘luna’ (moon), and suggests the traditional myths between madness and the phases of the moon.”

Utilising our most Yin winter energy of water, where we are reminded of our own receptivity, the invitation to listen and to respond in ways that align themselves with our deeper truths…. We will explore the element earth through the Psoas muscle.

Luna consciousness is our ability to connect with and be guided by our emotional responses, our intuition and inner wisdom. The Psoas is far more than just a core stabilising muscle, it is an organ of perception and literally embodies our deepest urge for survival and our desire to thrive and flourish.

Within the Toaist tradition, the Psoas is spoken of as the seat of the soul. When relaxed it is the mark of play and creative expansion and through it’s connected to the diaphragm through connective tissue or fascia, it affects both our breath and fear reflex.

To work with the psoas is not to try to control this muscle, but to cultivate the awareness necessary for sensing its messages, to release tension slowly, mindfully and passively. Releasing the psoas is the mark of opening and expand, enhancing and deepening the lift of the entire torso and heart.

This workshop will encourage an opening up into the space of freedom, to energise new pathways, to reveal and to recognise the delicate dance between power and vulnerability that exists within us all.
