In this workshop, we will explore the role of the Earth channels in Daoist thinking and Chinese medicine. By cultivating and invigorating these channels with Pranayama, Meditation, movement and the Earth sound from the Healing Sounds Qi Gong practices, we will enliven the tools to return us to being here completely, in harmony with ourselves, each other and life itself.
In Daoist thought, the Spleen houses our Yi or deepest intention. In modern language we might call this, that which we are most committed to. By removing as much as possible between us and feeling alive, we are returned to being here now, utterly and completely. When we are unburdened, we can live a satisfying and joyful life, where we are able to create nourishing connections.
In this workshop, we will evoke and immerse ourselves in the consciousness of the Spleen and its pathway, so we may embody and feel it within. The Spleen channel is the entry point to an inner sense of steadiness of our whole self into whatever we are here to learn, feel and cultivate for ourself.
Emma will lead us through Meditation, Pranayama and a powerful yang practice to flow into a deep Yin practice. We will:
Fly the Dragons
Walk the Elephants
Animal Parades, so we may remember to live as a bridge between Earth andHeaven.
THIS WORKSHOP INCLUDES:
A Yang Asana practice exploring vigorous and flowing Taoist movements Yin yoga married with a Spleen channel and healing sound meditation.
Yoga theory and Philosophy
Working deeply through Meditation, touching these spaces within, nourishing Qi through Pranayama, smoothing and soothing Qi through Yin Asana, we bring the stability of presence so we may enter into the subtle depths within.
The question will be, can we use the body as a tool of exploring the self, guide and inspire the healing process which is within each of us through this anchor of intention.
