It was powerful, self enquiring and authentic…. Her passion for Yin, Anatomy and the 5 elements is infectious and magical. If you can spend any time as a student of this inspirational soul, do. You will never regret it. She has much to teach. If you are ready to learn.

6th September to 14th September, 2024
(With THE 10th and 11th off to rest)

The Shambhala Meditation Centre, Clapham Old Town, London, UK

I can not stress enough, this course is for everybody. You do not have to be a Yoga teacher or want to be one to attend. You need only a curiosity and a willingness to explore, whilst deepening your own understanding of how you can use The Five Elements system to view and understand all aspects of your life. This is a small group training programme to allow for a level of intimacy rarely found in other courses.

The Five Movements Yin Yoga Teacher Training programme is a 50 Hour Yoga Alliance Professionals UK approved course beginning Friday 6th September. We study for four consecutive days, taking Tuesday and Wednesday off to rest and absorb the content up to this point.

Returning Thursday 12th, we continue with our study over Friday 13th and Saturday 14th September.

On day one we explore the foundations of The Five Element system by returning to The One and The Dao. The One reveals the Two and Yin Yang theory which in itself emphasises a third quality, Qi. During this day, we will familiarise ourselves with the seven Archetypal Yin Yoga Asana and the intention behind those individual patterns. As we delve the physical movements using Yin Yang theory, we will explore these forms from two seemingly different viewpoints. From this foundation we are able to investigate over the following five days, each of the Five Elements or phases within the whole process.

Days two to six breakdown each element, Archetypal posture that we can associate with the phase and how Qi and the mind are moving at this stage. One day, one part at a time and the three pronged approach regarding body, mind and spirit, provides a canvas in which to view the individual as a whole rather than separate parts moving within one envelope much like the Five Element system is orientating us towards - The One.

Day seven, we bring it all back into the whole whilst reviewing everything we have covered ensuring the seeds of this training are ready to flourish in your own life.

In order to meet the 50 hours over our seven days together, each day will require just over seven hours of study. We meet for first Meditation at 8.30am and there are two tea breaks during the day, with lunch as a 75 minute rest. We close the day by 5.30pm.

Clapham Common is nearby for those wanting to get some space and air. The wonderful Shambhala Centre has a kitchen where you are able to prepare food with a fridge, hob and toaster. There is a small courtyard and a space next to the main hall with a sofa and chairs to relax in. I will provide various teas, milk, lemons, ginger, biscuits, nuts, a fruit bowl, bread and nut butter.

Emma’s course made a space for me to find ‘my’ yoga. A gift I will have for life now and I am so grateful.

On full completion, each student will receive a 50 Hour certification. This will qualify those with a 200 Hour foundation the freedom to teach Yin Yoga and register themselves with the Yoga Alliance UK as a Yin Yoga Teacher.

If you would like to join this training or have any questions, send me a message.

With love and peace,
