the Five Element System

“The 5 seasons approach chimed with something I was discovering for myself. These have created an understanding of something that even at first I didn't understand, but carry on questioning & returning to. I experience my own experience.” - Yin-Side Member

  • With its roots in nature, The Five-Element system is a practical and experiential way to remember we are part of nature, not outside of it, and this is not something we have to learn, only recall on the deepest level.

The Five-Element system provides a compass that you can use to illuminate your own path, even when this path feels hidden and you feel lost.

  • At the beginning of each season (Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn and Winter), there’ll be new content which expands on the new cycle we’re entering. You’ll discover which of the organs that are most active within this stage of the cycle, the way Qi behaves at this point within the whole process, and how this can be understood in terms of moods and emotions.

  • Typically, each movement spans for a period of three months, with the exception of Late Summer, which is a much shorter season. During a season, live classes will explore many aspects associated with the current conditions from both Indian and Chinese thinking. In the membership, you have access to these again and again for the entire season.

  • It is important that what we explore together remains in and of the moment. At the end of each phase, a small number of the season’s classes will remain in the library and you’ll continue to be able to access these anytime. The recordings we say farewell to will be replaced by the new season of classes.
